I hope to rewrite history with Mighty Jets - Nakargo

Mighty Jets midfield maestro Nura Nakargo said he is back with the Jos based club in order to write history and to help promote the club to play in 2017-2018 Nigeria Profession­al Football League. Nakargo who represente­d Nigeria at the Africa U-17 Championsh­ip in the Gambia in 2005 told Daily Trust that his top priority will be to contribute his quota towards ensuring the club is back in the country’s top flight division.

The midfielder, who also played with the Flying Eagles under Ladan Bosso in 2008, expressed his readiness and commitment to help the new players settle in and hit the ground running when Nigeria National League (NNL) commences.

The Jos born player also expressed his satisfacti­on over the level of preparatio­ns by the club saying the coaches training programmes have been exceptiona­l so far and if executed by the players during matches then Jets would be invincible in the course of the term.

“I played in Mighty Jets more than 7 years ago, and now I am back here to help the club to gain promotion and I am satisfied with training programmes designed by our new coach and his back-room staff. The work rate, techniques and physique shown by the players during the training sessions is commendabl­e,” he said.

The former Nassarawa United and Wikki Tourist wonder kid who was the Nigerian Premier League’s highest signing fee in 2014 after Akwa United paid him N12m also charges his teammates to work hard and exhibit maximum discipline when the second tier divison kicks off in order to achieve their target of gaining promotion.
