OONI OF IFE VISITS LONDON
His Imperial Majesty, the monarch of Ile-Ife, Osun state, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi and his wife, Queen Wuraola took a two week trip to London for a series of events. The royals were welcomed by British Royalty, Prince Charles and wife, Princess Camilla, as well as a large crowd of Nigerians in diaspora. His Imperial Majesty on this Commonwealth Historical visit to the United Kingdom, would be busy with a lineup of events which include the Commonwealth day observance service and Commonwealth Africa summit, where he would be a keynote speaker, an official visit to the British Museum and many others.The celebration is geared toward the promotion of mutually respectful, cultural values, peaceful and prosperous and that also “cherishes equality, diversity and shared values” of all member states,
Another highlight of his visit is anevent tagged ‘An Evening with Ooni’ scheduled for the 24th of March with Yinka Aiyefele on the bandstand. He will also be a special guest at a corporate dinner to be hosted by the acting High Commissioner to the United Kingdom SImon Ogah at the ballroom of J .W Marriot Hotel.
The highly influential king would be one of the VIP’s at the Commonwealth Day Celebration Business Leaders Luncheon. And lastly he would also be at another event to watch the performance of ‘Moremi’ opera by the Royal College of Music, London.
