Polo Awards 2017 to hold May 30
The nominees for the upcoming Polo Awards, often referred to as the Oscars of Polo, have been announced. The prestigious black-tie event will take place on Tuesday May 30, at Guards Polo Club.
From patrons to professional players, administrators and ponies alike, the evening will see 300 guests from the polo fraternity gather to celebrate the successes of the previous year and launch the start of the new season.
As usual, there will be a champagne reception, gala dinner, awards presentation, party and cocktail drinks. The nominees are as follows: The most outstanding high goal team: Dubai, HB, King Power, La Indiana & Zacara.
The most outstanding high goal patron: Rashid Albwardy, Michael Bickford, Lyndon Lea & Top Srivaddhanaprabha.
The most outstanding high goal professional: Adolfo Cambiaso, Agustín Merlos, Juan Martín Nero, Facundo Pieres & Gonzalo Pieres Jr.
The most outstanding British professional: James Beim, Tommy Beresford, Max Charlton, James Harper & Jack Richardson.
The most outstanding lady player: Claire Brougham, Hazel Jackson, Lucy Taylor, Tamara Fox & Sarah Wiseman.
Other awards to be presented are: HPA Lifetime Achievement Award, Recognition Award, Young Player Award & The Most Outstanding High Goal Pony Award.
