close to his children; they talk to him about everything. He doesn’t judge them which is one thing that most homes lack.We have 13 children in the house and even grandchildren, he has two daughters that are married and a son that is getting married soon, my kids are youngest in the house.

Favourite travel destination

I have been to so many places in world, I cherish Mauritius and Zanzibar but I still think the best place I have ever loved and I still love is South Africa. I have never been to any place I feel more at home like South Africa because the world there is different.

How I relax

Most times when I want to relax, I read, I love to read a lot. I also watch a lot of family series and movies.

Last good book I read

Because I am Muslim, I have read a lot of books mostly friction, but there is one book I love a lot which is Umar Bin Khattab, one of the Khalifa’s of the prophet (SAW ). Why I love the book is because reading that book, I got to know a lot of people that I was reading about; I got to understand the roles they played during the prophet’s time. This is one book I cherish and till date I have not been able to finish it because every time I come to read it, I have to start from the beginning again because it contains a lot of thing about the history of Islam during the prophet’s time.

Favourite food and drink

I am a typical Nigerian person and I cannot sacrifice my Nigerian food. I eat anything Nigerian. I don’t have a particular food or drink I like. I don’t really like sweet things, even though I take coke sometimes, but I am more of a water person.

Style

I love to represent Nigeria, I am very artistic and I love the world to know more about Nigeria so most times I just use Ankara fabric because it represents Africa. Anywhere I go in world I make sure I am fully dressed in Ankara which people admire on me and want to have it.

Favourite fashion designer

I work with fashion designers a lot; trust me I don’t have a favourite fashion designer. If you have something good, I will love it. I wear it anywhere I go and be proud to say it was made by this person.

Favourite perfume, bags, shoes

I love to be unique, so I just mix perfumes. I buy perfumes that smell good not minding the designer. For bags, any kind of good bag will do. I am a lover of heels. Shoes are my favorite, I cannot go wrong with shoes.

Mum’s advice that stuck

Both my parents have played different roles in my life. One thing I think I inherited from them is their generosity. They always told us that if you are selfish, it’s all about you, God will leave you to yourself to see if you can solve your problems, but the more you give to other people or the more you change other people’s lives, the better for you.

Advice for women

I feel women should give more to their homes, give more attention to their children, husbands and if you can help financially in your house. Don’t think that everything is on the shoulders of the man alone. A woman can contribute; it is not a sin for a woman to contribute to the development of her family financially.

Favourite sport, weather, car, colour

I’m not really a sports person because I don’t like anything that makes me anxious; I hate anxiety so I keep away from sports. I love the raining season. For best car, a beautiful and unique car that is not everywhere. My favourite colour used to be brown but not anymore, now I experiment colours.

Favourite day of the week and why

I love Saturdays and Sundays, because I can sleep for as long as I want withouthaving to worry about being late to work.

Secret to looking glam

I guess I inherited it. I remember my grandmother died at the age of 80-something years but she was looking very beautiful, so I think it runs in my family because I am not the sort of person that goes out of her way to go on a full beauty spa and all that. I am more of a natural person when it comes to things like that.

What I would tell a younger me

Life teaches you lessons, so everything comes with time, you cannot jump from one age to another because you want to learn. So I think a younger me has to just wait for the right time to do other things.

Favorite music

I don’t have a particular one, but I love Hausa songs and Michael Jackson, he is one person I can listen to and not get bored. I also listen to a few Arabic musicians.

What I won’t be caught wearing

I can’t be seen outside not dressed like a proper northerner, no matter what I am wearing, maybe jeans, I must always have a veil covering.
