WHAT ELSE CAN I DO?

I am James from Benin, in May 2015, I experienced itching on my private part and all over my body. Also waist, testicular and abdominal pains with noises in my stomach. There was rashes on my private part, sore anus and testicles. My throat was swollen with weight loss. I did urine m/c/s , it revealed pus cells +++, yeast cells +, epithelial cell ++, RBC+ . The culture yielded heavy growth of E. Coli, and candida albican. I was treated and went for a repeat Urine m/c/s after six months and it yielded staphylococcus aureus. I have been given treatment but no response. I also did blood culture and there was heavy growth. Please as a Gynaecologist what is your advice?

From your description above the problem is multisystemic and therefore not likely to be a simple case of Gynaecological or urological problem alone. This more of a generalized infection. What is your HIV status? Any other form of immunosuppression apart from HIV? What you need to do is to go to medical outpatient department to be fully checked and examined. All these affecting the throat, abdomen, testicles and other places can be linked together.

Specifically concerning the tests that was done and repeated after six months, was your sexual partner or partners treated too? This is one mistake a lot of men and women make. Always remember that anytime sexually transmitted disease or urinary tract infection is treated the other sexual partner or partners should be treated to avoid re infection.
