ONLINE 3,000 District, Village Heads to Go in Kaduna – Report

Idon’t know why people are worried over this development; of what use are the district/ village heads to the people? What do they do to contribute to the growth of their communities?

I call for caution in this matter, because if not handled properly, it could create unrest. Markafi used those district/ village heads to maintain peace. We need to be careful. I advise the governor to be careful on this matter.

I hope the government understands the importance and position of the traditional institution. In my opinion, the governor is starting a trouble he may not be able to handle. We have always had traditional rulers. I hope he consults widely before taking any decision on the matter. I don’t think the governor has been fair to the traditional rulers. I hope all relevant stakeholders have been duly consulted.· Abubakar Umar Makarfi

That is a very good decision. It will reduce ethnic friction among the people.

So, what becomes of them? What will they do when they vacate their positions?

Ibrahim This plan will end up destabilizing Kaduna State. I think this is a very laudable position.

I don’t really see the significance of the district/ village heads. Most of the titles are purchased these days. May Allah help our leaders to lead with fairness.
