Victory against Plateau Utd our target – Oknuoghae

- By Orkula Shaagee

Remo Stars reliable defender, Osas Oknuoghae says the team is in Jos for serious business and getting points against the table toppers is their target.

The Sky Blue Stars to face the table toppers, Plateau United at the Rwang Pam Stadium in Match Day 21 of the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) in Jos today.

Plateau United started the second stanza brilliantly with an away point against Katsina United after Daniel Itodo’s 77th minute strike last Sunday, but Oknuoghae believes victory is possible on the Plateau.

It looks to be a huge mountain to climb for the visitors bearing in mind that the Jos side have made their home a fortress, so a point for the Sky Blue Stars away from home might be a turnaround for Osho’s men in the professional league.

“First we have to appreciate God for the journey mercy from Ogun State to Plateau, we return all glory to him.”

“Our coming here is not to play jamboree football but we are here for business and to get points against Plateau United. We are also here to prove that we have qualities in our team and we aren’t pushovers.”

“We are the youngest in the Nigeria Professional Football League but our style of play is quite unique and different from other club sides in the league.”

“I appreciate our coach’s way of handling the team, he has a lion heart. Coach Osho has the zeal and full confidence in his players to see them excel in all areas on the field of play,” Oknuoghae said.
