This is the second time the current emir is suspending the son of the late emir, something is indeed very wrong. I urge that we do not comment on the matter until we have details of the problem. There is more than meets the eye. I wish the current emir a successful reign. I also pray for peace in Kano State and Nigeria as a whole.

Whoever violates the laws and traditions of a people must be made to face the consequences to serve as a deterrent to others who may wish to do same. Therefore, based on the explanation given by the emirate council, I support the action.

In the past few weeks, the Kano emirate council has been in the news and some of the stories are not palatable. I pray that they are able to solve all the issues so as to preserve the prestige for which the emirate has always been associated with. A house divided against itself cannot stand. Efforts should be made to settle all grieving I think the action is in order. Ride on sir, take all actions necessary to sanitise the emirate and ensure a peaceful reign. The action is a normal occurrence in every royal family. There must be solid reason for that action. I think they should try to settle the issues amicably since it’s a family affair. They should not allow disagreements to escalate.

The laws and traditions of a place or group of people must be obeyed, and when they are violated, there are repercussions. I guess that is what is happening at the Kano emirate council now.
