From Bashir Liman, Jos

Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) table toppers, Plateau United of Jos are not concerned that their lead on the league table has been reduced to three points.

The Media Officer of the club, Albert Dakup has said the team is taking one game at a time and ready to fight for all three points against Kano Pillars.

Plateau United would be playing match day 33 fixtures against Pillars in Kano today and Mr Dakup stressed that they respect Masu Gida for the successes they have recorded in the past after winning the league four times in the last nine years.

He however said the Lalong Boys were ready to fight for the three maximum points in order to increase their chances of winning the league title.

Dakup noted that with six matches left, there were no easy fixtures as every team would want to put up a decent performance in order to end the season well.

He explained that coaches, players and other management staff were working extra hard to realize the club’s ambition of winning the league for the very first time in history.

He attributed the team’s success this season to the elaborate welfare packages put in place by the management of the club under the leadership of Pius Henwan alongside the huge financial support of Governor Simon Bako Lalong of Plateau state.
