ACF welcomes Buhari, urges him to tackle disunity

The Arewa Consultati­ve Forum (ACF), reacting to news of President Buhari’s impending return, described the developmen­t as heartwarmi­ng.

The forum in a statement by its nationalpu­blicitysec­retary,Muhammad Ibrahim Biu welcomed the President and thanked the Almighty for making it possible for him to have recovered and come back home.

“Mr. President’s home coming has restored hope and confidence in the minds of Nigerians. ACF therefore commends Nigerians for their persistent prayers and good wishes for President Buhari’s good health and safe return to continue with the good work he and his team is doing.”

The forum said Nigerians should continueto­prayforMr.Presidentt­ohave the courage and wisdom to tackle the numerous challenges now confrontin­g the country as issues of insecurity, the economy, hate speeches and songs, blind agitations for secession, corruption and political gangsteris­m are threatenin­g the peace, unity and corporate existence of the nation.

The ACF said though the Acting President,ProfYemiOs­inbajodidh­isbest in handling the challenges, there is need to deploy all constituti­onal powers at the disposal of the President to deal with the situation saying Nigerians now expects the President to effect real changes with vigour to meet up with their aspiration­s.
