The police should step up their game and address this kidnapping issue. It is really scary that even men of the force are falling victims. What is the fate of civilians if security operatives are being kidnapped? Something urgent must be done about the matter.

The police have to change strategy and nip this problem in the bud as soon as possible. It is getting too serious. How can an Assistant Commissioner of Police be kidnapped? It is an indictment on our security operatives. The Inspector General of Police needs to pay special attention to this issue.

This incident just shows that nobody is safe. I urge the police high command to do its best to ensure that the country is rid of kidnapping and other crimes. They should declare total war on kidnappers.

This incident is really sad and goes to show that civilians are in trouble. The police need to do more to safeguard citizens.

The issue of kidnapping in this country is more serious than we know and it’s about time efforts are made to address it. It is very embarrassing to say that a senior police officer was kidnapped. The police should see this incident as a wake-up call. Enough is enough.

If a policeman can be kidnapped, who then will protect us? Nigerians are losing confidence in the police and its time they changed the narrative.
