- By Jennifer Ezeudoka

The Nigerian Film Corporation (NFC) has entered into partnership with the Plateau Radio & Television Corporation (PRTVC) and the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) with the aim of jointly producing content and training its staff to increase productivity.

The partnership will also see an increase in alternative revenue for the government according to a statement signed by NFC’s head of Public Affairs, Mr Brian Etuk.

NFC’s Managing Director, Dr. Chidia Maduekwe said the partnership will be mutually beneficial for all the parties involved as they have secured international partnership with the Kingdom of Morocco to enhance capacity building.

PRTVC’S General Manager, Mr. Jeftath Jackden assured that the MOU will drive a long-term relationship between both agencies. He commended NFC for the initiative and promised PRTVC’s commitment to the success of the entire partnership

Meanwhile at the signing ceremony of the MOU at the Jos Network centre of the NTA, Dr. Maduekwe reiterated the need for agencies within the information sector to partner and drive the narratives that strengthen Nigeria as one united country.

People across the nation, he said are susceptible to act and behave according to what they hear and see repeatedly, and therefore appropriate messages through all media should be deployed in this direction.

Agencies of government, he further said, must consistently change lives of Nigerian citizens through adequate programme content on all media especially the NTA, which is adjudged the largest television network in Africa.

The MOU’s signed between NFC, PRTVC and NTA Jos network centre equally addresses collaboration’s in joint co-production of drama, documentaries and jingles.
