Daily Trust farmers interactive forum, exhibition holds tomorrow
The two day Daily Trust farmers interactive forum and exhibition organised in collaboration with the Kebbi State Ministry of Agriculture will hold tomorrow, Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th February 2018 in Birnin Kebbi, the Kebbi State capital.
The event with the theme “Agriculture as a Solution to the Economic and Social Problems of Nigeria” is expected to take place at the auditorium of the Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic permanent site, along Birnin Kebbi-Argungu road and it will draw participants from the Nigeria Agribusiness Group, (NABG), WACOT Rice, NNDC, OLAM, NOTORE, NAIC, INDORAMW BOI, AFAN, FACAN, Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria, (ARCN), Raw Materials Research and Development Council, (RMRDC), FADAMA, National Agricultural Seeds Council, (NASC), Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service, (NAQS), CBN, NIRSAL, and the Bank of Agriculture among others.
The sub themes to be presented and discussed by various experts at the agric event include; “Agro Allied Industries: Untapped Opportunities in Agribusiness; Mechanisation: A Catalyst for Mass Production in Nigeria- The Kebbi Experience; Strengthening the Nigerian Livestock Economy for Job Creation; The Use of Organic and Inorganic Fertilizer Toward Improving Farmers Productivity; Financing in Agriculture; The role of NAIC towards the implementation of the Green Alternative Programme of the federal government and Job creation in Agriculture- The NDE Experience.
Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu is the Chief Host of the event while the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbeh, will be the special guest of honour.
