Dos and don’ts of wearing fragrance
DID YOU KNOW... THAT WEARING FRAGRANCE CAN ENHANCE YOUR MOOD?
Perfumes, yes, are a must for everyone. But do you know the do’s and don’t of wearing perfume? We all want to smell good and want it to last long. Therefore, create your own smell by knowing the right perfume that best suits you. A great way to hold your scent all day long is to layer it. Note that moisturised skin holds fragrance longer than dry skin.
There are some rules and regulations on wearing fragrance. You can develop your own signature fragrance by exploring and evaluating different essential oil blends and deciding which one smells best, and when blended, reflects your unique individuality and personality.
A drop of perfume should be applied from the bottom up, at the ankles, behind the knees, in-between the thighs, in the cleavage, inside the wrists, inside the elbows, at the nape of the neck and behind the ears.
It is essential to know when to skip the scent. At the right time and in the right place, fragrance can do amazing things. It can boost your confidence, revitalise your senses or help create the perfect mood.
It is very wrong to expose fragrance to high temperatures. The ingredients will oxidise and change colour, which also affects the scent itself. Therefore, it is advisable to keep your fragrance in a dry shaded area; preferably not in the bathroom.
There is no reason why you can’t wear fragrance to work, but make sure you keep it light. You just need to wear the right fragrance and not too much of it. Vanilla or musk may not be appropriate for work, but light citrus-based ones are great at ensuring you smell clean and fresh.
