Retired confidential secretaries tasked on mentorship

- By Nathaniel Bivan

The President of the Association of Retired Confidential Secretaries in Nigeria (ARCSN), Mrs Rhoda Tor-Agbidye, has tasked members to be ready to mentor young professionals.

Mrs Tor-Agbidye, who said this yesterday at a general meeting of the association in Abuja, noted that ARCSN consists of confidential secretaries and administrative technocrats who have seen it all and have decided to fraternise as senior citizens.

She said, “I call on you to be open minded with a view to bringing to bear your wealth of experience acquired over the years to enable us, as retired confidential secretarial professionals, encourage practice of our profession and to keep the flag flying.”

The President said members had to build up ideas through certain visionaries and that, that caused the pioneer members in 2017, to create the association.

“I am so excited of the ways events are unfolding. If we are able to embrace this very important association, other professionals will soon be making reference to ours as a good example of association of retired professionals, to emulate,” she said.

ARCSN was approved by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in September 2017, to serve as a forum for retired professionals to provide opportunities of speaking through a unified voice anywhere in the world.

It is also to turn the veteran experience into achievement by ensuring continuous physical, intellectual development and capacity building to enable members contribute to humanity.
