How we won the FCT FA League – Flomat FC CEO

- By Olusola ‘Jide @jide_olusola

The Proprietor of Flomat FC, Olushola Omole has revealed that his team had just four days training before the FCT league kicked off on October 10. Foslat FC emerged as the 2018 FCT league champions on Friday after defeating Waco Academy by a lone goal. The Flomat FC owner commended the FCT FA for job well done while calling on the officials to ensure fair and just officiating at all times.

“We are less than one year old. The team was registered this year. Reaching the FCT League final is a collective efforts. Initially we did not plan for the league and to be sincere, we did not think we would reach this level but this is where we are today.

“Looking at the records, we have played seven matches, lost one and drew one. And since losing against Fosla FC, we have gone on to win our next five matches.

“Waco FC, our opponents today, is a fantastic club but I believe that football is a game of 90 minutes and until that duration is decided, anything can happen.

“The officiating has not been too fantastic. I want the officials to be fair to all teams at all times. The organisers should take time and call the officials to order to ensure fair play especially the match tomorrow. Good officiating will go a long way to ensure that FCT grassroots football development plans have the expected impact on the people and on the play itself.

“The FCT League has come a long way. I am so happy about the standards of the games and organisation,” Omole said.
