Amazing beauty benefits of cinnamon you’re unaware of

-

Apart from spicing up your coffee and giving flavour to your baked stuffs, cinnamon is a great skincare ingredient. A lot of people are unaware of the medicinal properties of cinnamon and how it can be used as an anti-inflammatory and anti-ageing

ingredient. You can include this wonderful spice in your beauty routine.

Flawless skin: Cinnamon is antimicrobial, meaning that it helps destroy any bacteria on your skin, like the acne-causing ones. Applying cinnamon to your skin once a week will clear any unwanted thing on your skin, thus giving you a smooth and flawless skin.

Luscious lips: With cinnamon you don’t have to waste money on expensive lip plumpers, lipsticks and glosses. Instead, use it to achieve a fuller pout by simply swiping some Vaseline across your lips and gently patting a bit of cinnamon on top. You should feel a slight tingling sensation and lips will redden and swell slightly. Leave on for few minutes, gently rubbing the cinnamon around, then wipe it off. Voila! You’ve your luscious lips.

Good breath: This one might look like it has a little to do with beauty, but we disagree. Your mouth odour is as much a beauty item as your face is. Use cinnamon to freshen your breath with a few gargles of warm water. Alternatively, chew a few cinnamon sticks to sweeten your breath and get rid of any nasty odour.

Hair growth: Cinnamon is another great product that boosts your hair growth and gives your scalp some tender loving care. Try a weekly cinnamon hair mask made with cinnamon, honey and warm olive or coconut oil. Let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes, then wash out with shampoo. But this one is best for those without sensitive scalps as the tingling can irritate the skin.

DID YOU KNOW... CINNAMON HAS BEEN USED FOR CENTURIES IN TRADITIONAL CHINESE AND AYRUVEDIC MEDICINE FOR SKIN DISORDERS?
