Hosea 12:13, “And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved.” This was spoken about Moses, but it points to Jesus. Jesus is the Prophet of prophets; He is our Deliverer, our Saviour and Redeemer. He is our hiding place. He is our keeper.

Why Do You Need Deliverance?

Listen, this scripture implies that you will always need deliverance. Deliverance is not a one-time or once-and-for-all affair, it’s a lifelong thing. Deliverance does not necessarily mean that you are possessed or bound, it could mean that you could be oppressed in one area or another. The devil is always laying snares for people especially children of God. There are forces that want to stop your promotion, your increase and your progress; you will always need to be delivered from them.

What Do You Need To Be Delivered From What?

1. Sin and Satan’s oppressive rule. 2. Demonic afflictions. Satan’s agenda is to kill, steal, and destroy. It could be to destroy various areas of your life including your soul, potentials, talents, virtues, anointing, health, wealth, relationships, marriage, opportunity, and ministry.

3. Temptations. Demonic snares. They lead to Demonic bondage. Temptations are snares of the devil. That’s the reason the Bible says to watch and pray that you enter not into temptation. Matthew 26:41. Broadly speaking, you will be tempted in three things or from three things: a) Your need or what you lack b) Your strength. Pride comes from our area of relative strength; financial power, leadership position of strength, political power, influence, etc.

c) Your weakness. You will need to be delivered from yourself. Your weaknesses or bad habits, etc. Moses didn’t solve his anger problem; David should have been delivered from lust. Job had a tendency to be afraid. One of the most dangerous moves of the devil is to tempt you in the area of your weakness. You need the grace of God to stand.

We saw the FATHER revealed in the Old Testament, Christ the Son, in the Gospels and the Holy Spirit in the New Testament. They are one. Christ came to reveal the true God and what the true man should be.

Before Jesus they had no power to cast out devils. That’s why you never saw anyone ministering deliverance in the Old Testament. Then everything changed when Jesus came. The people were amazed to witness the display of raw spiritual power. They watched Him demonstrate mastery of demons, sickness and disease, lack and every affliction known to man.

But after Jesus, thousands now command the same power over Satan, his demons and all afflictions known to man. God fulfilled His promise to pour out His Spirit upon all flesh (Joel 2:28-29). Glory to God!

Jesus is the Prophet who brought true and complete deliverance to humanity. He said expressly in John 8:36, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”

Before then, He said in John 8:32, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

It takes the truth to break free from demonic bondage.

Then He clarifies this in John 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

If Jesus never made this statement, it would seem that truth is just a concept of reality. But this statement makes it clear that TRUTH here is a Person.

It is only in Christ that TRUTH and PERSONALITY coalesce. It is the revelation of the Truth (Jesus), that brings liberty!

Whenever the gospel is proclaimed, Jesus is revealed and when He is revealed, He delivers, heals and blesses.

In Mark chapter 5, He went to a tomb in the country of the Gadarenes and broke the chains of a mad man, setting him free from years of insanity, degradation and humiliation. That man became a popular Evangelist. It was the revelation of JESUS, that brought liberty. In his mad state, he recognised Jesus as the Son of God, as THE TRUTH! It was not his mind that recognised Jesus, it was his spirit. His condition changed! Jesus is anointed to bring deliverance to the captives. Luke 4:18

Then He went to the Cross to complete the job. He went to the Cross to uproot bondage from its foundation. Hebrews 2:14-15 says, “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; [15] And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.”

Jesus became a man because of me. He shed His precious blood to redeem me. He endured the Cross for me. He sacrificed His dignity, and His life for my redemption.

Just like Joseph suffered to make way for his family, He who is the way, suffered to make way for me. Satan, you can never hold me bound anymore!

Get ready for an encounter that will liberate you from all oppressions of the enemy, in Jesus name!

Jesus is about to change your condition. He’s getting ready to move you out of prison and out of bondage. The power of sin is being broken right now! He’s getting ready to move you from death to life; from sickness and disease to soundness of mind and body, from ‘not enough’ to ‘more than enough’! He’ll move you from lack to great wealth, from rejection to acceptance and from the bottom to the top!

He led captivity captive and gave gifts to men (Ephesians 4:8). He gave me life, He gave me freedom, He gave me wealth. He gave me an inheritance I can never finish!

Don’t miss this, God the Father dignified Him and gave Him a name above every other name. Guess what? He gave us the power to use His name. He not only gave Himself to me, He gave me His precious and powerful Name! John 16:23-24, Mark 16:17

Pray now in His powerful Name for liberation and restoration.

No matter what you are going through right now, it is not the end of your story; God has his plans for you.

You will not end up in the pit; you will not end up in slavery; you will not end up in prison; you will not end up in pains and in chain! You will end up in Glory and Greatness!! Every experience you have had will work together for your good! Those who left you will soon regret it.

Those who sold you will soon need you to survive. Those who planned to kill you will soon be begging you to keep them alive! Those who conspired against you will soon be blaming each other!

I see you rising out of the ashes of defeat to an enviable position! Kings will soon be seeking your favour!

Just keep serving! Joseph kept doing what he had passion for; he kept serving, leading and interpreting dreams. Don’t wait until everything is working well; keep serving and developing yourself. Soon, your dream will find fulfilment.
