NPFL: Enyimba battle ready for MFM challenge – Osho

- By Jide Olusola

Enyimba Football Club will be seeking to secure the maximum points when they trade tackles with MFM FC today during the MatchDay 35 fixtures of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NFPL).

According to the coach, Fatai Osho, the ‘People’s Elephants’ will be prepared against the ‘Olukoya Boys’ whom he acknowledged have been doing well of recent.

“We need to be tidy at home. We have to really work as the MFM team of late have been doing very well. It won’t be an easy game as we have to prepare very well. But we know quite well, the only compensation we can do and to realise what we have done here is to get the results at home. That could be inspiring for the players and I see us doing a wonderful job against MFM,” he said.

It will be noted that the 8-times NPFL champions missed the golden opportunity to climb to second position last week Thursday after drawing 1-1 with IfeanyiUbah.

Meanwhile. Warri Wolves and Wikki Tourist will fiercely battle one another to avoid dropping

further in relegation waters while Plateau United will want to return to winning ways when they host Lobi Stars.

Second-placed Nasarawa United will attempt to reduce the deficit when they trade tackles with Sunshine Stars while Katsina

United will welcome Dakkada FC.

In the same vein, Kano Pillars will attempt to stay in the top three by avoiding dropping points when they host a wounded Abia Warriors while Heartland FC will play host to Kwara United.

In Port Harcourt, Rivers United will take on IfeanyiUbah while table leaders, Akwa United will edge closer to their first ever title when they host Jigawa Golden Stars just as Enugu Rangers will be guest to Adamawa United who are almost certain of being relegated from the league.
