Tasty Burabisco with vegetables

-

Burabisco is a classic couscous dish popular among northern Nigerians. It’s made using couscous (crushed wheat shaped into small grains), chicken or beef, and vegetable oil. It can, however, be prepared without the use of chicken. It is a tasty and healthy meal option for a fitfam person.

Ingredients

Shredded beef, green and red pepper, Cameroon pepper, black pepper, carrot, vegetable oil, seasoning cubes, salt, spring onion, sliced onion, garlic, powdered ginger, curry and thyme.

Recipe

· Wash the beef thoroughly before seasoning it with cameroon pepper, black pepper, Curry and thyme, vegetable oil, salt, and powdered ginger in a mixing bowl. Mix it together correctly.

· Fill a pan halfway with vegetable oil and heat it on medium heat.

· Allow the steak to cook in the pan. Some juice will be released into the oil by the beef. After 10 minutes, remove the meat and set aside or place it in the fridge for 30 minutes or more.

· Slice the garlic and onion into the pan and cook for 5 minutes on each side. Then add the carrot cubes, salt, and red and green peppers. When the meat is cool enough to handle, pour it into the pan and flip it.

Brabisco

· Pour some boiling water into a bowl, then add some salt and vegetable oil. Sprinkle brabisco into the hot water solution and cover for 6-8 minutes to allow the brabisco to dry. The modest amount of hot water is used to keep the couscous from becoming watery.

· Reduce the heat to low and allow the couscous brabisco to steam.

Your brabisco is ready and ready to be served with vegetable sauce.
