Governors, senators celebrate Remi Tinubu at 63
The wife of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, turned 63 on Thursday.
In their facilitation message to the celebrant, female senators in the 9th National Assembly, Senators Stella Oduah and Biodun Olujimi, praised her as a passionate advocate for women’s and youth empowerment.
Part of the statement reads, “On behalf of the 9th Senate girls, we wish to celebrate a friend and one of the most beautiful human beings we’ve ever had the privilege of experiencing up close and personal these past few years as she adds yet another year in what has now become a sterling life strewn with service to humanity.”
The governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide SanwoOlu, also congratulated the president’s wife.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by his chief press secretary, Mr Gboyega Akosile, the governor defined the former first lady of Lagos State and current first lady of Nigeria as an advocate for social justice, a philanthropist, and a fighter for people who frequently go unnoticed.
Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Betta Edu, also praised the First Lady as a noble woman who positively influenced lives, commending her grace, political contributions, and passion for a better Nigeria.
The Iyaloja-General of Lagos, Mrs Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, also felicitated the First Lady, describing her as smart, caring, and hardworking.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, she wrote, “Dear Mum, 63 looks so good on you, and you have been a very inspiring figure to me and millions of other women all over the world. You are very smart, intelligent, hardworking, and caring.
“On this special day of yours, I celebrate you, and I wish you many happy returns, good health, God’s guidance, and prosperity”.
