Doma Utd defeat Plateau Utd as Kwara Utd hold Insurance

Doma United have moved to second position after defeating Plateau United by a lone goal in the MatchDay 9 fixtures of the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League at the Pantami Stadium.

The ‘Savannah Tigers’ extended their unbeaten run to 5 games after the lead in the 22nd minute through Andrew Majalisa to secure their seventh clean sheet which is the most in the league as well as earning the third win in a row.

The visitors who have now earned the fourth league loss put out everything in their arsenal to leave Gombe with a point.

Meanwhile, Bendel Insurance battled to a 2-2 draw against Kwara United to preserve their record of not losing at home since 2007.

Kwar United had stunned the home fans when Sad’eeq Ahmat opened the scoring in the 14th minute but Stephen Sodje restored parity in the 27th minute.

Shooting Stars will host Kano

Pillars at the Lekan Salami Stadium while Akwa City Stadium will host Enugu Rangers and Katsina United.

Rivers United will trade tackles with Abia Warriors at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium while Sporting Lagos will welcome Heartland to Mobolaji Johnson Stadium. Sunshine Stars will be guests to Bayelsa United at the Samson Siasia stadium.
