NEWSBYTES The confab amazons
There are so many women academics, politicians and technocrats attending the National Conference. But only few of them appeared on the radar during the plenary so far.
Some of the amazons include Senator Florence ItaGiwa, Senator Daisy Danjuma, former Women Affairs Minister Chief Josephine Anenih and Senator Khairat Gwadabe. ItaGiwa and Gwadabe have been roaming the floor of the plenary since its commencement two weeks ago. They were seen going round exchanging banters and conferring with other delegates.
When it comes to contribution during sessions, Mrs Anenih and Mrs Danjuma are the most visible, though.
The quiet amazons so far are Senator Gbemisola Saraki, former Women Affairs Minister Hajiya Aisha Isma’il, former Education Minister Prof. Ruqayyatu Rufa’i, and former Information Minister Prof. Dora Akunyili.
