Jonathan fires NNPC scribe
President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the appointment of Mr. Ikechukwu Oguine as the new coordinator, Legal Services and Company Secretary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
Presidential spokesman, Dr Reuben Abati, said this in a statement last night.
According to him, Oguine, from Anambra State, replaces his kinsman, Mr. Anthony Chukwuma Madichie who has served as the NNPC legal adviser and secretary since February 2011.
The presidential spokesman noted that Oguine had over 29 years of legal experience.
“He (Oguine) was previously the General Counsel of Chevron Nigeria Limited and has been a partner in Advisory Legal Consultants, a law firm specialising in oil, gas, power and mining”, Abati added.
