Happy weekend sir!

The police authorities received another jibe yesterday from a delegate from the Southwest, Senator Anthony Adefuye.

The delegate explained why the police is what it is today. “How can the police force, who whenever they see you along the road would quickly jump and say ‘happy weekend sir,’ protect your life and property?”

He said the situation is so bad that the police have been reduced to a beggar-status because of underfunding, lack of training among others. The senator didn’t stop there. He said that Nigerians should stop deceiving themselves that we are not tribalists.

“We are tribalists. Simple. If not that we are tribalists, why do we have the obas, emirs and the Igwes? They are all tribal leaders. We should tell ourselves the truth,” Adefuye said.

Not only that, the senator added another one, saying that contrary to submissions that former governors are buying private jets, “religious leaders also buy private jets now from monies they collect from their followers, including those who have no shoes.”
