The state commandant of the corps, Vincent Bature, during an interview with newsmen in his office yesterday, said some of those arrested were staff of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

Bature,

who

expressed satisfaction with the level of commitment of his staff in fighting crimes in Plateau State, said the arrest of three staff of NNPC maintenance department early this year had helped in reducing the activities of vandals who were terrorizing the Mista Ali area of Plateau State.

The commandant said six people were arrested for vandalizing NNPC oil pipelines in Bassa Local government Area and two were sentenced to 25 years in prison, adding that the arrest of one person who was the ring leader led his men into making more arrests.
