Kogi law­maker em­pow­ers con­stituents

A law­maker rep­re­sent­ing Ijumu con­stituency at the Kogi State House As­sem­bly, Yori Solomon Afo­labi, at the weekend dis­trib­uted items worth mil­lions of naira to people across the 16 wards in his con­stituency. Items dis­trib­uted in­clude ten gen­er­at­ing sets, 15 sewing ma­chines, ten com­plete sets of hair dress­ing equip­ment, 150 ve­hi­cles and mo­tor­cy­cle tyres, 50 farm sprayers, 20 stand­ing fans and 10 clip­pers among oth­ers. Yori, who also gave scholarships to some sec­ondary stu­dents, said the dis­tri­bu­tion cuts across po­lit­i­cal par­ties. “As a law­maker, I have been able to at­tract govern­ment at­ten­tion to my con­stituency in the area of school ren­o­va­tion, re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion of bore­holes and pro­vi­sion of transformers to com­mu­ni­ties among oth­ers”, he said.
