Kogi lawmaker empowers constituents

A lawmaker representing Ijumu constituency at the Kogi State House Assembly, Yori Solomon Afolabi, at the weekend distributed items worth millions of naira to people across the 16 wards in his constituency. Items distributed include ten generating sets, 15 sewing machines, ten complete sets of hair dressing equipment, 150 vehicles and motorcycle tyres, 50 farm sprayers, 20 standing fans and 10 clippers among others. Yori, who also gave scholarships to some secondary students, said the distribution cuts across political parties. “As a lawmaker, I have been able to attract government attention to my constituency in the area of school renovation, rehabilitation of boreholes and provision of transformers to communities among others”, he said.
