Rape cases increase in Kaduna

Rape cases are getting very high in Kaduna State, the Director General, Legal Aid Council, Mrs. Joy Bob-Manuel, said yesterday. Bob-Manuel who disclosed this in a media chat on the update of the Project Access to Justice for the poor in Kaduna State said records of the Legal Aid Council showed that rape cases are increasing.

According to her, the project which is sponsored by the Japanese Social Development Bank and facilitated by the World Bank is to create awareness and sensitize Kaduna residents on fundamental rights issues and how and where they can seek and get redress to injustice.
