FG to build 5000 bed ca­pac­ity hajj camp in Bauchi

The Federal Govern­ment will build a 5000 bed ca­pac­ity Hajj camp for in­tend­ing pil­grims in Bauchi, Gover­nor Isa Yuguda has said.

Re­ceiv­ing the 2013 Hajj re­port from the state’s Amirul Hajj and Emir of Bauchi, Al­haji Ril­wanu Suleiman Adamu, Yuguda said this year, in­tend­ing pil­grims will be air­lifted from the newly built Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa In­ter­na­tional Air­port, Bauchi.

He thanked the Amirul Hajj com­mit­tee for or­ga­niz­ing a suc­cess­ful ex­er­cise and pledged to give pri­or­ity to first timers.

Ear­lier, the Emir of Bauchi and Amirul Hajj, Al­haji Ril­wanu Suleimanu Adamu, told the gover­nor that out of the 2,530 pil­grims from the state that per­formed last year’s ex­er­cise only a fe­male pil­grim from Ga­mawa, died.
