NSCDC op­er­a­tive ar­rested over theft in Zam­fara

The Zam­fara State Po­lice Com­mand has ar­rested one Mur­tala Sadiq Muham­mad of the Nigeria Se­cu­rity and Civil De­fence Corps (NSCDC) for al­legedly steal­ing recharge cards from a dealer in Gusau, the state cap­i­tal.

Muham­mad, ac­cord­ing to the state po­lice com­mand spokesper­son, DSP Lawal Ab­dul­lahi, is with the Kebbi State com­mand of NSCDC.

Ac­cord­ing to him, the sus­pect al­legedly con­fessed that he stole recharge cards worth N150,000 from a shop in Gusau, where he went to buy mem­ory card.

The po­lice spokesman added: “We re­cov­ered recharge cards worth N137,000 from him and we have con­cluded ar­range­ments to ar­raign him in court”.
