NSCDC operative arrested over theft in Zamfara

The Zamfara State Police Command has arrested one Murtala Sadiq Muhammad of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for allegedly stealing recharge cards from a dealer in Gusau, the state capital.

Muhammad, according to the state police command spokespers­on, DSP Lawal Abdullahi, is with the Kebbi State command of NSCDC.

According to him, the suspect allegedly confessed that he stole recharge cards worth N150,000 from a shop in Gusau, where he went to buy memory card.

The police spokesman added: “We recovered recharge cards worth N137,000 from him and we have concluded arrangemen­ts to arraign him in court”.
