Business registration can be processed by owners – CAC

Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), yesterday, stated that under its recent reforms scheme, applications for registration of companies can be handled by the owners of the business or first director.

This was revealed by Registrar General of the Corporate Affairs Commission Malam Bello Mahmu during the commencement of enlightenment campaign on direct registration of businesses organised by Growth and Employment in State (GEMS3) held in Kano.

According to him, the reform was targeted to benefit small and medium entrepreneurs who may not afford the services of accredited agents, adding that the reform would encourage informal businesses to register and, in the long run, to deepen their access to finances.
