NNPC appoints Alegbe as new spokesman
Management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has appointed Mr. Ohi Alegbe as Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division.
Alegbe took over from Dr. Omar Farouq Ibrahim who has been promoted and redeployed as Group General Manager in charge of OPEC Matters under the office of the Permanent Secretary.
Farouq has been in acting capacity as Group General Manager of Public Affairs since November 2013.
A statement signed by Mr. Bernard Otti, Group Executive Director, Finance and Accounts on behalf of the Management of the Corporation stated that the appointment took immediate effect.
An alumnus of the University of Benin, Alegbe assumed the job with three decades of experience which has seen him traversed broadcast, print, public relations and advertising genres of public communication.
