NSCIA condemns Nyanya bomb blast

The Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) has condemned Monday’s bomb blast in Nyanya motor park in Abuja which killed scores and left more than 100 others injured.

The condemnation is contained in a statement issued by Alhaji Femi Abbas, the Chairman, NSCIA Media Committee, made available to newsmen yesterday in Ibadan.

The council condoled with families of the victims of the blast and other Nigerians who were directly or indirectly affected by the tragedy.

It prayed Almighty Allah to spare the country from calamity and protect innocent Nigerians.

The organisation urged the Federal Government to take urgent steps to prevent a recurrence of such ugly incident.

It also urged the government to investigate the cause of the current security challenges facing the country and to take urgent measures to address them. (NAN)
