‘Katsina APC undecided on ward congress’
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina State has said it is yet to decide which election to uphold or annul as reports from its ward congress which held last Saturday are still being turned in.
Speaking to newsmen in Katsina, Chairman of the ward congress committee, Barrister Sani Garungabas, said there were cases of violence and misdemeanor in some wards as well as places where the exercise did not hold.
“At the appropriate time we will decide which election to uphold and which to annul. There are specific places where elections did not hold because the materials did not even get there,” he added.
He said those that will be annulled for various reasons, including failure to follow procedure, will be announced at a later date and a new date will be fixed to conduct the congresses in those places.
