I expect to start against Houston – Aminu

Nigerian NBA star Al Farouq Aminu says he expects to start today’s game against Houston.

Aminu who logged just 19 minutes two weeks ago against the Kings, scoring four points on 1-of-1 shooting with two rebounds and three steals, found more playing time last weekend against The Phoenix Suns due to the injury of teammate Anthony Davies.

The player made the revelation via his twitter handle yesterday, saying “big game against Houston tomorrow, wish us luck guys and hope to play my part in the win, will be happy to start the game”

The former LA Clippers player who was one of Nigeria’s top performers at last year’s Afrobasket Tournament with 11.9 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game hasn’t been getting enough playing time this season due to the presence of Tyreke Evans who joined the Pelicans from the Sacramento Kings.
