Kwali youth coun­cil gets new ex­ec­u­tives

The Kwali Area Coun­cil chap­ter of the Na­tional Youth Coun­cil of Nigeria (NYCN) yes­ter­day elected its new ex­ec­u­tives that are to pi­lot the af­fairs of the coun­cil for the next four years.

Those elected are, Com­rade Ab­dul­mu­min A. Sal­ihu, as Chair­man, Com­rade Daniel B. Yunusa, Vice chair­man, Ibrahim Haruna, Sec­re­tary- Gen­eral, Ha­jara Sani, As­sis­tant Sec­re­tary­Gen­eral and Us­man M. Isah, as Trea­surer.

Oth­ers in­clude, Haruna Dahiru, Wel­fare, Saidu Ibrahim, Au­di­torgen­eral, Adamu Mo­hammed Ibrahim, Provost, Mo­hammed Abubakar Fogbe, Pub­lic Re­la­tions Of­fi­cer, Abubakar Sadiq, or­gan­is­ing sec­re­tary while Shafa Us­man Mo­hammed and Aliyu Bazama Mustapha were elected as Fi­nan­cial Sec­re­tary and So­cial Di­rec­tor re­spec­tively.

In his ac­cep­tance speech on be­half of the elected ex­ec­u­tives, the new chair­man, Com­rade. Ab­dul­mu­min A. Sal­ihu, said he was overwhelmed by the con­fi­dence and trust re­posed on him by the mem­bers, who elected him to pi­lot the af­fairs of the coun­cil.

He noted that the elec­tion which rose above the di­vides of eth­nic­ity, greed and gen­der, was a reaf­fir­ma­tion of their de­ter­mi­na­tion to build a greater Kwali coun­cil and Nigeria at large.

Sal­ihu com­mended the out­go­ing ex­ec­u­tives of the coun­cil and promised to run an open door pol­icy, where ev­ery­body will be car­ried along.

Not­lessthan73del­e­gat­esthat­cut across 25 as­so­ci­a­tions par­tic­i­pated in the elec­tion, which was held amid tight se­cu­rity at Kwali Pi­lot Cen­tral Pri­mary School.
