Kwali youth council gets new executives

The Kwali Area Council chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) yesterday elected its new executives that are to pilot the affairs of the council for the next four years.

Those elected are, Comrade Abdulmumin A. Salihu, as Chairman, Comrade Daniel B. Yunusa, Vice chairman, Ibrahim Haruna, Secretary- General, Hajara Sani, Assistant SecretaryGeneral and Usman M. Isah, as Treasurer.

Others include, Haruna Dahiru, Welfare, Saidu Ibrahim, Auditorgeneral, Adamu Mohammed Ibrahim, Provost, Mohammed Abubakar Fogbe, Public Relations Officer, Abubakar Sadiq, organising secretary while Shafa Usman Mohammed and Aliyu Bazama Mustapha were elected as Financial Secretary and Social Director respectively.

In his acceptance speech on behalf of the elected executives, the new chairman, Comrade. Abdulmumin A. Salihu, said he was overwhelmed by the confidence and trust reposed on him by the members, who elected him to pilot the affairs of the council.

He noted that the election which rose above the divides of ethnicity, greed and gender, was a reaffirmation of their determination to build a greater Kwali council and Nigeria at large.

Salihu commended the outgoing executives of the council and promised to run an open door policy, where everybody will be carried along.
