Declare state of emergency in FCT

-

The security situation in the country has now assumed a dangerous dimension with insurgents now targeting places populated by less privileged people and vulnerable who are now prone to this attack by these hoodlums.

The recent attacked at Nyanya motor park is coming at a time government continues to assure its citizen of curtailing the menace of Boko Haram in our environment.

The dastardly acts has shown how this insurgents are all out to unleash all kind of terror, killing, maiming on Nigerians from all directions.

The need for the federal government to equally declare a state of emergency in Abuja to safe guard the lives and properties of ordinary

Nigerians living in the city, and also curtail the effort of this extremists to unleash fear to whoever is going there to do business in the seat of government.

The bomb blast at Nyanya is clear indication that the insurgents want to test the strength of government of its porous security network. Nobody expected the terrorist to target a very vulnerable place like motor park, where ordinary Nigerians gather to move from one part of the country to another in search of their daily means of lively hood.

It’s a clear manifestation on the part of the insurgents to attack such places to attract sympathy to their ungodly act.

The federal government should as a matter of urgency partner with other advanced countries to stem this trend who are all out to damage our country and scare away our much expected investors.

We must appreciate the fact that any attack on the seat of government would send wrong signal on the security situation in our country, hence the deployment of plain clothes security personnel to some areas that could be prone to attack.

All strategic locations in and around Abuja should be closely monitored to avoid the carnage that happened in Nyanya.

We hope with declaration of state of emergency in Abuja it would curtail any form of attack by this faceless terrorist who are all out to move our nation many step backwards.
