A gubernatorial aspirant in Benue state, Engr. Roseline Ada Chenge, at the weekend was endorsed by Ai-uja, Owukpa community in Ogbadigbo local government area of the state as its sole candidate for next year’s general election.

Chenge was also conferred with a honourary chieftaincy title of ‘Agaba Anya I’ at the ceremony which held in Ipole Ai-uja, Owukpa kingdom as a mark of recognition for her contributions to community service.

Speaking during the occasion, national chairman of Ai-uja Development Association, Joseph Okoh, pledged allegiance of the community to ensure that Chenge not only clinches the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s ticket but would mobilize support to earn her victory to the Government House in 2015.

“With the crowd that you have seen here today, it is clear evidence that all sons, daughters and strangers in this land have accepted you and will give you our unalloyed support whenever and wherever you need us,” he said.

He called on the guber aspirant not to relent in her good works of impacting positively on rural communities across the state through provisions of the earth dam, rural road networks, creating job opportunities, distribution of mechanized farm equipments to farmers and changing economic status of the people.

Responding, Mrs. Chenge thanked the Onomo of Owukpa, Chief Emmanuel Odeh and all the ward heads for the honour and promised a hope for a better future if voted into power in the coming election.
