Insecurity: Yero urges Christians to pray

- From Christiana T. Alabi & Dickson S. Adama, Kaduna

Kaduna State Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero has called on Christians to pray fervently for Nigeria, as only prayer can deliver the nation from its current challenges.

Speaking yesterday during the Easter Rally 2014 organised by Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) at Catholic Social Center in Kaduna, Yero, who was represented by the head of service, Mr. Akila Bungwon, said “Since Christ love us, we too should show love to others just as Easter demonstrates sacrifice of someone who sacrifice his life to save us and give victory of good over evil.”

He enjoined Christians to carry the message of love and peace to everyone around them.

Also in an interview, the special Adviser to Kaduna State Governor on Christian matters, Reverend Joseph Hayab, said Easter comes with the spirit of reconciliation among brothers, friends and neighbours.

“One of the greatest challenges facing our community today is that people hardly make sacrifice for the common good of our nation, home and family,” he said.
