- By Ben Atonko & Ojoma Akor

Members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Abuja yesterday visited victims of the April 14, 2014 Nyanya explosion at the hospitals and donated household items to them.

The church visited the Asokoro and Wuse District Hospitals as well as the National Hospital where it donated beverages, toiletries and cash.

Pastor in charge of Province 4, RCCG Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Dr Dele Babade who led the congregation on the visit said the gesture was part of the church’s Corporate Social Responsibility and Easter.

Babade said: “This is a callous thing to do to humanity but we’re happy that the hospitals are giving their best to ensure that the recovery is total and is smooth. I’m particularly grateful because everybody seems to have a good spirit to recover.”

Pastor in charge of Province 3 of the Church, Pastor Olajide Oluwajobi called on Nigerians to embrace peace and dialogue saying those behind violent acts should repent and seek dialogue in addressing their grievances.
