Redeemed Church do­nates to bomb vic­tims

Mem­bers of the Redeemed Chris­tian Church of God (RCCG) in Abuja yes­ter­day vis­ited vic­tims of the April 14, 2014 Nyanya ex­plo­sion at the hos­pi­tals and do­nated house­hold items to them.

The church vis­ited the Asokoro and Wuse District Hos­pi­tals as well as the Na­tional Hospi­tal where it do­nated bev­er­ages, toi­letries and cash.

Pas­tor in charge of Prov­ince 4, RCCG Federal Cap­i­tal Ter­ri­tory (FCT), Dr Dele Babade who led the con­gre­ga­tion on the visit said the ges­ture was part of the church’s Cor­po­rate So­cial Re­spon­si­bil­ity and Easter.

Babade said: “This is a cal­lous thing to do to hu­man­ity but we’re happy that the hos­pi­tals are giv­ing their best to en­sure that the re­cov­ery is to­tal and is smooth. I’m par­tic­u­larly grate­ful be­cause ev­ery­body seems to have a good spirit to re­cover.”

Pas­tor in charge of Prov­ince 3 of the Church, Pas­tor Ola­jide Oluwa­jobi called on Nige­ri­ans to em­brace peace and di­a­logue say­ing those be­hind vi­o­lent acts should re­pent and seek di­a­logue in ad­dress­ing their grievances.
