Security: Rubochi monarch urges district heads to register visitors

Daily Trust - - CITY NEWS -

The traditional ruler of Rubochi community in Kuje Area Council of the FCT, Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Pada, has directed all district and village heads as well as community leaders in his chiefdom to provide a book register for any visitors coming into their villages.

Pada, who was speaking when he summoned district/ village heads as well as community leaders for a meeting at his palace on Saturday, said the need became necessary due to the security challenges in the country.

According to him, there have been reported cases of influx of visitors from neighboring Nassarawa and Benue states to some communities under his chiefdom without his consent.

“As you go back to your respective communities, open a register for any visitor and let us know where he/she comes from, what is he doing for leaving, is he married, what is his mission and how long will he stay at the community. A situation where such visitor fail to give all these information, he should be returned to where he/she came from,” the monarch said.

He harped on peaceful co-existence among various ethnic groups in the country while calling on residents of the community to pray for the country to overcome her security challenges.
