Ondo speaker for burial Fri­day

The Ondo State House of As­sem­bly said yes­ter­day that it has con­cluded ar­range­ments for the burial of the late speaker, Sa­muel Adesina.

Adesina, who rep­re­sented Odigbo II state con­stituency at the As­sem­bly, died in Fe­bru­ary this year in a hospi­tal in La­gos State dur­ing a pro­tracted ill­ness.

Ad­dress­ing jour­nal­ists, Chair­man, House Com­mit­tee on In­for­ma­tion and Ori­en­ta­tion, Oyebo Alade­tan, said the House will give the late speaker a be­fit­ting burial.

He said var­i­ous com­mit­tees and sub-com­mit­tees have been set up to or­ga­nize the pro­gramme which kicks off to­day (Wed­nes­day).

He added that the for­mer speaker would be cel­e­brated be­cause of his con­tri­bu­tions to the peace­ful co-ex­is­tence of the people, he rep­re­sented and the state in gen­eral as well as the mon­u­men­tal projects that were ex­e­cuted dur­ing his ten­ure as leader of the As­sem­bly.
