Kebbi names school af­ter gov’s wife

The Govern­ment Girls Sec­ondary School, Kamba in Kebbi State has been named af­ter the wife of the state gover­nor, Ha­jiya Asma’u Saidu Dakingari.

A state­ment by the Chief Press Sec­re­tary to the Gover­nor, Al­haji Abubakar Mu’azu Dakingari, said the gover­nor’s wife re­ceived a let­ter from the Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion signed by the com­mis­sioner, Alh. Sama’ila Ab­dul­mu­mini Kamba, of the de­vel­op­ment.

He said while thank­ing the min­istry for the hon­our, the gover­nor’s wife re-af­firmed her com­mit­ment to sup­port ed­u­ca­tional de­vel­op­ment. She ad­vised par­ents and guardians to enrol their chil­dren and wards in school to ob­tain Is­lamic and Western ed­u­ca­tion.
