Dutse emirate partners DFID on dispute resolution
The Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Nuhu Muhammad Sanusi, yesterday said the emirate is partnering the British Department For International Development (DFID) on alternative means of dispute resolution.
The emir spoke through the Galadiman Duste, Alhaji Basiru Muhammadu Sanusi, when members of Course 36 of the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies(NIPPS) visited the palace. The emir said as part of efforts to maintain law and order, the emirate partnered DFID to train members of the council. He said the method will go a long way in solving community disputes amicably and ensure peaceful and harmonious co-existence among the people.
Earlier in his speech, leader of the team, Ambassador Adamu Muazu, said they were in Jigawa to learn from the authorities, traditional institution and private sector on how to improve industrial relations and increase productivity and growth.
