Dutse emi­rate part­ners DFID on dis­pute res­o­lu­tion

The Emir of Dutse, Al­haji Nuhu Muham­mad Sanusi, yes­ter­day said the emi­rate is part­ner­ing the Bri­tish Depart­ment For In­ter­na­tional De­vel­op­ment (DFID) on al­ter­na­tive means of dis­pute res­o­lu­tion.

The emir spoke through the Gal­adi­man Duste, Al­haji Basiru Muham­madu Sanusi, when mem­bers of Course 36 of the Na­tional In­sti­tute of Pol­icy and Strate­gic Stud­ies(NIPPS) vis­ited the palace. The emir said as part of ef­forts to main­tain law and or­der, the emi­rate part­nered DFID to train mem­bers of the coun­cil. He said the method will go a long way in solv­ing com­mu­nity dis­putes am­i­ca­bly and en­sure peace­ful and har­mo­nious co-ex­is­tence among the people.

Ear­lier in his speech, leader of the team, Am­bas­sador Adamu Muazu, said they were in Ji­gawa to learn from the au­thor­i­ties, tra­di­tional in­sti­tu­tion and pri­vate sec­tor on how to im­prove in­dus­trial re­la­tions and in­crease pro­duc­tiv­ity and growth.
