Jonathan yet to receive 2014 budget –Maku
The Presidency is yet to receive the 2014 budget from the National Assembly weeks after its passage, Information Minister Labaran Maku has said.
The minister said this yesterday while speaking to State House correspondents after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.
Maku, who noted that the FEC did not discuss the budget, said the council expected that the National Assembly would transmit the budget to the executive as soon as possible.
“Time is gone already. We only have eight months left to implement the budget. Further delay will not be necessary. Without the budget, a lot of things cannot be done. We are hoping that this will be done as soon as possible so that the implementation of the budget will start in earnest,” Maku said.
