Kwara gives relief to fire disaster victims

The Kwara State government yesterday distributed N1 million to victims of fire disaster in Oke Onigbin in Isin Local Government Area of the state.

Special Adviser on Emergency and Relief Services, AbdulAzeez Ibraheem, distributed the money to the victims on behalf of the state government.

Ibraheem said the state governor would continue to remain focused, dynamic and compassionate to issues affecting the people, especially those bothering on their wellbeing.

The special adviser advised the beneficiaries to use the funds made available to them judiciously, saying that the amount given to them “is not what matters but the spirit behind it”.

Ibraheem also assessed the level of damage caused by rainstorm in Oyun Local Government Area.
