Kwara gives re­lief to fire dis­as­ter vic­tims

The Kwara State govern­ment yes­ter­day dis­trib­uted N1 mil­lion to vic­tims of fire dis­as­ter in Oke Onig­bin in Isin Lo­cal Govern­ment Area of the state.

Spe­cial Ad­viser on Emer­gency and Re­lief Ser­vices, Ab­du­lAzeez Ibraheem, dis­trib­uted the money to the vic­tims on be­half of the state govern­ment.

Ibraheem said the state gover­nor would con­tinue to re­main fo­cused, dy­namic and com­pas­sion­ate to is­sues af­fect­ing the people, es­pe­cially those both­er­ing on their well­be­ing.

The spe­cial ad­viser ad­vised the ben­e­fi­cia­ries to use the funds made avail­able to them ju­di­ciously, say­ing that the amount given to them “is not what mat­ters but the spirit be­hind it”.

Ibraheem also as­sessed the level of dam­age caused by rain­storm in Oyun Lo­cal Govern­ment Area.
