Bauchi APC fixes new dates for LG, state congresses

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has completed arrangements to conduct local government and state congresses in Bauchi state on 24th and 26th April 2014. The state Interim acting publicity secretary of APC, Alhaji Baba Abubakar Suleiman, stated this while briefing newsmen at the end of a stake holders meeting of the party in Bauchi, He said arrangements had been concluded to hold the congress on Thursday 24th April and Saturday 26 April.

Suleiman who is the minority leader of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, said that materials for the exercise are available, adding that the party has been sensitizing party members through the media.

He said the congress will take place in all the 20 local government areas of the state from tomorrow (Thursday). Suleiman said the committee set up to oversee the conduct of the congresses had upheld the rerun congresses held in 30 wards in the state.

He assured that complaints arising from the conduct of the ward congress would be by the appeal committee and urged aggrieved members to remain law abiding.
