Mark, Tambuwal, govs, others condole Sambo over brother’s death

Senate President David Mark and state governors yesterday paid condolence visits to Vice President Mohammed Namadi Sambo over his brother’s death.

Fifty eight -year-old Yusuf Sabo, a pilot, died on Sunday in a motor accident on the Abuja-Airport Road.

The visitors offered special prayers for the repose of the soul of the deceased when they visited the Aguda House, residence of the vice president

The visiting governors were Godswill Akpabio (Akwa Ibom), Idris Wada (Kogi), Tanko Al-Makura (Nasarawa), Ibrahim Dankwambo (Gombe), Emmanuel Uduaghan (Delta), Abdulaziz Yari (Zamfara), Ramalan Yero (Kaduna) and James Ngilari (deputy governor, Adamawa).

National Chairman of the People’s Democratic (PDP), Adamu Mu’azu also led several chieftains of the party on a condolence visit to the vice president.

Speaker of the House of Representa­tives, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal also commiserat­ed with the Vice President yesterday over the death of his younger brother.

Tambuwal in a statement by his spokespers­on, Malam Imam Imam, expressed shock over the incidence.

The speaker prayed for the repose of deceased.

The All Progressiv­es Congress (APC) in a statement commiserat­ed with the Vice President Namadi Sambo.

Interim National Publicity Secretary of the party Alhaji Lai Mohammed expressed shock and sadness at the “death of such a vibrant personalit­y in such a tragic circumstan­ce.”

“Death is never easy to accept, and when it is so unexpected it adds to the grief. But the sweet memories and good deeds of the departed will always be a balm to sooth the indescriba­ble pain of death,” he said.
