Anambra Rep dumps APC for PDP

- By Saawua Terzungwe

The member representing Idemili North and South federal constituency of Anambra State in the House of Representatives, Rep. Charles C. Odedo yesterday defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Odedo is billed to formally present his letter of defection to the Speaker of the House, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal today.

Speaking at the PDP national secretariat yesterday in Abuja, Odedo said his decision to defect to the PDP was as a result of the prevailing peace and internal democracy in the party as well as the move by the present national leadership of the party to carry everybody along in the scheme of things.

Responding on behalf of the party, Chief Olisa Metuh; the PDP’s national publicity secretary, tasked the lawmaker to ensure that he delivers 98 percent of votes in future elections to the PDP and to deliver the 3 senatorial zones and all the federal constituencies to the party saying people in the North and the entire Nigerians have rejected the APC.
