Motorist kills 2 at Zuba

Two persons died on Sunday in a ghastly motor accident along Zuba road in Niger State.

City News learnt that the deceased were returning from work on a motorcycle when they had a head on collision with an oncoming vehicle.

The source said the vehicle knocked them down, leaving them unconscious, before they were taken to the Kubwa General Hospital for attention.

Similarly, a teenage girl was crushed to death by a speeding vehicle at Dei-Dei, along Kubwa-Zuba expressway.

A witness said the deceased was crossing the ever-busy expressway when she was suddenly knocked down by the driver of the vehicle.

He said the motorist ran away, while the deceased who died on the spot was carried to the Kubwa General Hospital.

When contacted, the head, Accident and Emergency unit of the hospital, Paul Olise, said the victims could not survive from the accident as they had fractures and multiple injuries.

He, however, said both corpses and that of the young girl had been deposited at the hospital’s morgue.
